KNINE was established in 2012 by Ben Shakal.

KNINE has come a long way from its humble beginnings in a garden shed in Co. Mayo, Ireland where founder, Ben Shakal had moved from Wisconsin USA with his Irish wife and family. Ben has always been an off-road enthusiast, building his own go-karts from age 10. This love off the off-road, and a hunger to create, led to the launch of KNINE. The logo is inspired by Ben’s trusty pitbull companion, who would spend hours in the shop while he developed prototypes. Starting with composite design and manufacture of component parts, KNINE has now moved to full-scale vehicle manufacture.

KNINE now has its R+D and composite part shop in Westport, Co. Mayo, Ireland and a large scale factory premises in Wisconsin, shipping products globally.
